Professional Nanny/Governess Full Time/Live In

Busy family of 6 looking for a full-time nanny/governess to add to their team. Nanny will have a separate apartment in Bryn Mawr, PA.  Must have prior experience working in a home as a professional nanny full time. Dad works full time and mom is home, but in and out. The typical working schedule will be 5 days a week, including weekends with Wednesday and Thursday being the days off. They will rotate schedules within our household to enable the candidate to take off a weekend about once a month. The hours will be around 50 hours a week. 

Family travels down to the shore in the Summer and nannies must be ok accompanying them there as well as their home in Florida or to Colorado and the Hamptons. Family will have an apartment nearby for the candidate in most places they visit but occasionally there will be times when the nanny needs to stay in the family home.

There are 2 nannies on duty at almost all times. Parents are also very involved with the children so there are always extra hands around to help.

The ideal candidate would have experience being a professional nanny, be energetic and able to run around after children, love children, be kind, warm, and be proactive to handle any situation that may occur. Looking for someone who loves nannying and exudes positive energy. Must be a US Citizen, able to be paid through payroll, and have a driver's license.

They would love someone to have the skill set to include experience working with Autistic spectrum children or similar types of neurodivergent children. They want a person who understands how to help rigid children transition appropriately, can diffuse or manage a tantrum or behavioral outburst, and understands different learning styles. They would also prefer a teacher who can teach elementary-level academic skills, reinforcing what the children are learning in school as well as creating an original curriculum.  Need homework help during the school year, tutoring in reading/writing/basic math.  One-on-one work with the children during the summer to prevent loss of grade-level skills during the summer break

The candidate must be ok working with other nannies and household staff. Would love someone with a college education. It is important that this person follows the schedule the parents have set for the children. Duties will all be tied to the children, packing their lunches, teaching children to put their toys away, packing/unpacking children's clothing for trips, making children's meals, and helping with meal prep when needed. Being creative to come up with screen-free activities. Play with the children, keep them active and happy!

Client requires the candidate to be current on all vaccines: Tdap, MMR, Covid and yearly flu shot.
 

Position Responsibilities

• Childcare: Shared Childcare for 4 children (2yr, 4yr, 5yr, 7yr)
• Cooking: Children's meals
• Laundry: If time allows children's laundry-but not required
• Driving: Required, car provided while at work
• Travel: Domestic Travel Required

Position Requirements

• Work Hours: 5 days/week – 50 hours a week. Wednesdays and Thursdays are days off.

Position Compensation

• Salary: $150k, negotiable dependent on experience
