Housekeeper Full Time/Live In

Live In Housekeeper/After School Help in Potomac, Maryland 

The Candidate would trial with the family and if hired would live in their Potomac Maryland home from September to June and in their Chicago, IL home from June to September when school starts.  

A private family in Potomac, MD is in search of a mature Live-in Housekeeper to work in their home Monday-Friday and some Saturdays. They need someone who can mostly do house cleaning, run errands, organize, and prep for dinner. Someone who has experience with hand washing high-end clothing and laundry for the whole family. The position is primarily housekeeping and assisting with the children as needed. 
 

The Ideal Candidate: Someone who is organized and motivated.  Has excellent communication skills.  Is caring, energetic, careful attention to detail, patient, family-oriented, multi-tasking, and playing with kids?  A planner and someone who is organized are important as well.  In this family, they live by a philosophy that everyone helps.
 
What Works Best for Family: Mature and a self-starter.  Can anticipate family needs. Sense of humor, kind. The family spends Summers in Chicago and would like someone who can travel as well.  Someone who would love to be part of the family and looking for a long-term position to grow with the family.

Position Responsibilities

  • Childcare: Help with their 2 Children, Ages 8 and  6 years old as needed
  • Housekeeping: Full Housekeeping Required
  • Cooking:  help prepare meals
  • Laundry: Family Laundry, Hand Wash dedicated
  • Ironing: Yes
  • Errands: Weekly Grocery Shopping
  • Driving: required 
  • Travel: Domestic Travel Required

Position Requirements

  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, a few Saturdays a month.  Hours may vary. 
  • References: Minimum of 2 References
  • Background: Pass stringent background checks and drug testing
  • Experience with School Aged children
  • Prior live-in experience

Position Compensation

        Salary:  $30/hr to $35/hr
  • Living Accommodations: Live In
  • Health Insurance: No
  • Additional Benefits: Possible bonus based on performance
