Weekend Kid-friendly Housekeeper/Cook Part Time/Live Out

Private family looking to hire a weekend meticulous, friendly and experienced Kid-friendly Housekeeper/Cook for their Tribeca home. Ideal candidate must be able to do the housekeeping, cook simple family dinners, go food shopping and do the family laundry. Must be tech savvy on the computer to order household supplies and food deliveries and be a proficient texter.  Must also be available to work/live-in in the Hamptons Saturday – Sunday in the summer months.   Flexibility to work later on Saturday night so the parents can have a date night.
 

Typical day:  The ideal candidate will start in the morning by efficiently tidying the kitchen and bedrooms, collect laundry, clean bathrooms, iron as necessary, run errands, grocery shop, open packages, keep closets and drawers organized and importantly, prepare and serve healthy snacks and dinner and leave the apartment in good order before leaving for the day.
What Works Best for the Family:
While this position is not for a nanny, the candidate must be good and kind with children and able to pitch in when necessary. They would like someone warm with a positive, can do attitude, resourceful, experienced, self starter.  Spanish speaking is a plus factor but English must be good to communicate and follow verbal and written instructions. The candidate should respect family time and the fact that mom works from home.

Position Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping: Full Housekeeping Required
  • Organizing: Keep the home organized and neat
  • Cooking: Help Start/Prep for Dinner, Plain Cooking Required, Family Meals
  • Snacks:  Prepare health snacks for when the children get home from school
  • Laundry: Family Laundry
  • Ironing: Yes
  • Errands: Food Shopping online and in store, Dry Cleaners; Post Office, Etc.

 
Position Requirements

  • Work Hours: Saturday and Sunday 11am – 8pm with flexibility to work later on Saturday and watch the children while the parents have a date night
  • Languages: English and Spanish 
  • Experience: 5 Years of Experience
  • References: Minimum of 2 References
  • Background: Pass stringent background checks and drug testing
