Discreet family is seeking a highly skilled and experienced live out Estate Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a prestigious 10,000 sq ft residence in Greenwich, CT. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and hands-on professional with a strong background in estate management, possessing the ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities related to the property and its systems, and must live local to Greenwich.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Property Maintenance:

    • Supervise and perform routine tasks such as walking the property, blowing leaves off the property, putting up flags, and ensuring the overall aesthetic appeal of the estate.
    • Maintain 10,000 sq ft. main house and occasionally an additional smaller residence on property.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the proper functioning of lights, alarm systems, and internet connectivity.
  2. Handyman Skills:

    • Possess strong handyman skills and the ability to troubleshoot and fix various issues related to the property.
  3. Systems Management:

    • Demonstrate proficiency in managing and maintaining HVAC systems, irrigation, pool equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, elevators, landscaping and other technical aspects of the estate.
  4. Vendor Management:

    • Coordinate and schedule outside vendors for necessary services and repairs.
    • Oversee vendor performance, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
  5. Scheduling and Oversight:

    • Manage a comprehensive schedule for routine maintenance/repairs for the residence and family cars.
    • Oversee the work of external contractors, ensuring timely and quality completion of tasks.
  6. Availability and Flexibility:

    • Work a standard 5-day workweek, with flexibility to be available on weekends when the family is in residence.
    • Be available to work on major holidays.
    • Be adaptable to changes in the family's schedule, which may involve travel to other residences.
  7. Communication and Reporting:

    • Report directly to the Estates Manager overseeing all family residences.
    • Maintain open and transparent communication with the family and provide regular updates on property status.


  • Proven experience in high-level estate management with high profile client.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other household infrastructure.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Honest, trustworthy, and assertive with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexibility to adjust work hours based on the family's needs.
  • Must be available to work on holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role with high-profile clients is a plus.


Salary: $145 -$150k
Health Insurance: Eligible after 90 days
Other Benefits: 2 weeks PTO and holidays
