An estate manager for an ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) residence in Manhattan and
Bridgehampton who oversees the operations and maintenance of luxurious properties,
ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. They manage a team of exceptional staff who maintain the interiors to impeccable standards. Responsibilities include overseeing household budgets, coordinating with vendors and contractors, organizing events, managing household inventories, and ensuring security protocols are upheld. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a high level of service and privacy for the residents.

The Estate Manager will oversee an upper west side large apartment and two newly
constructed residences in the Hamptons (One currently under construction). Working
closely with the Family Office to execute the private family’s ambiance and high
functionality vision. EM will oversee daily operations, mechanicals, systems, security, and household and hospitality. EM will ensure that the residence is well organized, efficiently run, and impeccably maintained to a high level of care, organization, and protection. The Director will work closely with the designers, architects, and asset (art, décor, etc.) professionals to launch the newly constructed residence to the family’s standards and lifestyle enjoyment. Reporting to the family office and operating in total synch with the Private Family’s vision, the EM will lead a team of household staff, vendors, and specialists, ensuring that the residence is run smoothly and professionally with a high level of service and optimum attention and solutions. Experience in construction, IT/AV, and the latest home technology and security/protection systems is required.

The EM must have exceptional concierge and property management, organizational,
interpersonal, and analytic skills and must be able to collaborate, manage, and motivate a team of professionals of different disciplines to ensure the smooth running of the
residence. The EM is resourceful, reliable, discreet, responsive, wears many hats, is a
stickler for details, enjoys problem-solving, and provides exceptional service to the
principals, family, and guests while upholding the utmost respect for boundaries, privacy, and discretion at all times. 

Estate Managers Responsibilities:

 Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the estates buildings, grounds, and
infrastructure
 Manage the budget for estate maintenance and make recommendations for
improvements
 Hire and supervise staff, including gardeners, maintenance workers, and security
personnel
 Ensure that the estate is secure and that all security protocols are in place and
followed
 Coordinate with contractors and service providers for work on the estate
 Manage the inventory of equipment and supplies needed for estate maintenance
 Ensure that all buildings and structures on the estate are up to code and meet safety
standards
 Develop and implement plans for landscaping and beautification of the estate
 Coordinate with other staff members, such as housekeepers and chefs, to ensure
that the estate runs smoothly and efficiently
 Coordinate with yacht crew for events, travel and crew assignments
 Communicate regularly with the estate owner or owners to keep them informed of
estate operations and any issues that arise

Estate Manager Requirements:

 Bachelors degree in real estate, property management, business administration, or
related field
 A minimum of 7 years experience in high end residential property management
 Proven experience as an Estate Manager or similar role
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
 Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
 Great leadership and project management abilities
 Ability to develop and implement effective estate management strategies
 Experience in managing budgets and financial reporting
 Experience in managing staff and contractors
 Familiarity with property maintenance and repair
 Proficiency in MS Office and estate management software
 Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
 The ability to be on call at all times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
