Title: Housekeeper
Location: Fairfax Station, VA
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (24 – 40 hours)
Salary: $35 + DOE
Schedule: Can be flexible depending on candidate availability (week days and 9am – 5pm)
About us: We are a warm, easy-going family of two with adult children. Our youngest will be leaving for college this summer. We live in a spacious 9,000 sq ft home but only use a portion of it regularly. We also have two small, friendly dogs, so comfort with pets is essential. This position offers flexible work hours and can be either full-time or part-time (at least 3 days/week), depending on the household's needs and the candidate's availability.
Job Responsibilities:
- General Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and occasional deep cleaning. No laundry needed.
- Floor Care: Clean and maintain hardwood floors, vacuum carpets, and rugs.
- Bathroom & Kitchen: Thoroughly clean and sanitize all bathrooms and the kitchen, including appliances and countertops.
- Organization: Keep all areas organized and tidy, ensuring everything is in its place.
- Pool House: Clean the pool house seasonally and as needed.
- Pet Care: Comfortable interacting with and occasionally caring for two small dogs.
- Seasonal Tasks: Perform specific cleaning tasks seasonally, such as preparing outdoor spaces for summer use or cleaning windows.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Previous experience as a housekeeper.
- Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
- Personality: Friendly, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a family environment.
- Pet-Friendly: Comfortable with small dogs (12 lbs.)
