Salary: $30-$40+ per hour, depending on experience and skill set
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM, with occasional long days or weekend support for events (with prior notice)

About the Role:
An elegant Dallas home is seeking a polished and professional Household Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate is capable of working efficiently behind the scenes. The role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to take constructive criticism with grace. The household is filled with valuable art and antiques, so a keen eye for care and preservation is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with and organize the full-time housekeeper, providing guidance and instruction to ensure attention to detail is met.
- Manage vendor relationships, including landscaping, pool maintenance, window cleaning, ice machine servicing, chandelier cleaning, and other specialty services.
- Conduct regular property inspections and identify areas for repair or improvement.
- Run errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning, and returns; manage packages and deliveries.
- Provide light housekeeping support in conjunction with the housekeeper, including helping with laundry and stepping in during the housekeeper’s absence.
- Oversee and manage the family’s lake house, visiting weekly or bi-weekly to check on the property, ensure deep cleaning is performed, and maintain food supplies.
- Support household events and fundraisers as needed, with advance notice for long days or weekend help.
- Family has a high school aged child, although his transportation and most needs are handled by his mother.
Qualifications:
- Background check upon a contingent offer of hire
- Previous experience in household management, particularly in high-end or large homes.
- A polished, professional demeanor with a preference for working quietly and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to take initiative and offer suggestions for improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of handling direct feedback constructively.
- Comfortable overseeing valuable art and antiques.
- Ability to work with and manage external vendors.
- Willingness to perform light housekeeping tasks and support the primary housekeeper.
- Willingness to manage full housekeeping should the housekeeper have a day off, be on vacation, etc.
- Flexibility to assist with occasional events outside of regular hours.
- Must love dogs, as the household has three Australian Labradoodles.
