A warm and welcoming family in Society Hill, Philadelphia is seeking a live-in Family Assistant to support their household and provide care for their 5-year-old daughter. The family currently resides in a smaller home in Society Hill but will be moving into a larger residence in Rittenhouse Square in April 2026. They also spend their summers in South Carolina, and would love for their Family Assistant to travel with them.
About the Family
- Dad works a demanding job and frequently commutes to New York City.
- Mom is based at home and actively engaged in day-to-day family life.
- Their 5-year-old daughter attends school part-time and enjoys a consistent, nurturing routine filled with creative and educational activities.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time: Approximately 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, with occasional flexibility).
- Compensation: $75,000+ annually, depending on experience.
- Live-in accommodations provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for their 5-year-old daughter, including school drop-offs/pick-ups, playtime, and activity coordination.
- Assist with household organization, errands, grocery shopping, and light tidying to help keep the home running smoothly.
- Handle laundry, meal and snack preparation, and occasional family meal assistance.
- Manage household calendars, appointments, and travel logistics.
- Serve as a positive, steady presence and partner to both parents in maintaining an organized and harmonious home.
- Travel with the family to South Carolina during the summer months (approximately July–September).
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced in both childcare and household/family assistant duties.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working alongside a hands-on parent.
- A natural multitasker with a warm, calm, and adaptable demeanor.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment.
- Flexible and comfortable with travel.
- Valid driver’s license (vehicle provided or mileage reimbursed).
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
