About the Family

A warm, highly organized, and professional family currently residing near Manhattan (relocating fully to Manhattan next year) is seeking a long-term, trustworthy nanny to join their household. Mom is a VP of Research, and Dad is a CEO. They value peace of mind, dependability, communication, and a healthy, respectful relationship with their caregiver.

Children:

  • Toddler attends school from 8am–12pm (possibly extending to 3–4pm beginning in February). She naps daily from 1pm–5pm.

  • Newborn baby girl

Home Structure:

  • A housekeeper visits twice weekly for deep cleaning.

  • The nanny will handle child-related light housekeeping and organization.

  • Family has a driver; no driving required from nanny.

  • Travel is optional; occasional weekend travel may be discussed.

Mom will be home until approximately March/April and may continue to work from home part-time. The nanny will have ample time to connect with both children and settle into the role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for both children.

  • Maintain exceptional organization of children’s items, toys, learning materials, and bedrooms.

  • Handle light daily housekeeping (about 30–40 minutes per day) related to the children, including tidying play areas, cleaning bottles/dishes, and managing child-related messes.

  • Prepare simple, healthy meals for the children (e.g., steamed vegetables, baked fish or meat).

  • Oversee children’s laundry; family may outsource if volume is high.

  • Support smooth routines, naps, and transitions.

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with Mom, following her guidance and preferences.

  • Provide flexibility to stay later when needed.

  • As children grow, transition into a combined housekeeping + after-school pickup role.

Ideal Candidate & Personality

The ideal candidate:

  • Is extremely organized and enjoys creating and maintaining structure.

  • Is a good listener and respects parental guidance.

  • Has a calm, positive, and professional demeanor.

  • Communicates openly and without attitude; values a peaceful, collaborative household.

  • Is loyal and committed to long-term employment.

  • Has a history of long tenures, ideally 6–7 years with a previous family. (required)

  • Brings strong judgment, patience, and emotional intelligence.

This family deeply values a warm, healthy relationship with their caregiver and hopes to find someone who will grow with them for years.

Requirements

  • Prior long-term experience in a private family as a nanny.

  • Excellent, verifiable references.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).

  • Comfortable with occasional travel (optional).

  • Non-driver role (family provides driver).

Benefits

  • Payroll through GTM Payroll Services.

  • 2 weeks paid time off

  • Competitive hourly rate of $35+ /hr
