Private Family in Manhattan, NY Seeking a Full-Time Live-Out Nanny
Position: Full-Time Live-Out Nanny
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm (flexibility to stay later on occasion)
Salary: $35 per hour + depending on experience
Start Date: January 2026
Relocation: Local candidates only; must live within 30 minutes of the family
About the Family
A warm, highly organized, and professional family currently residing near Manhattan (relocating fully to Manhattan next year) is seeking a long-term, trustworthy nanny to join their household. Mom is a VP of Research, and Dad is a CEO. They value peace of mind, dependability, communication, and a healthy, respectful relationship with their caregiver.
Children:

Toddler attends school from 8am–12pm (possibly extending to 3–4pm beginning in February). She naps daily from 1pm–5pm.

Home Structure:

A housekeeper visits twice weekly for deep cleaning.

The nanny will handle child-related light housekeeping and organization.

Family has a driver; no driving required from nanny.

Travel is optional; occasional weekend travel may be discussed.
Mom will be home until approximately March/April and may continue to work from home part-time. The nanny will have ample time to connect with both children and settle into the role.
Responsibilities

Provide warm, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for both children.

Maintain exceptional organization of children’s items, toys, learning materials, and bedrooms.

Handle light daily housekeeping (about 30–40 minutes per day) related to the children, including tidying play areas, cleaning bottles/dishes, and managing child-related messes.

Prepare simple, healthy meals for the children (e.g., steamed vegetables, baked fish or meat).

Oversee children’s laundry; family may outsource if volume is high.

Support smooth routines, naps, and transitions.

Communicate clearly and respectfully with Mom, following her guidance and preferences.

Provide flexibility to stay later when needed.

As children grow, transition into a combined housekeeping + after-school pickup role.

Requirements

Prior long-term experience in a private family as a nanny.

Excellent, verifiable references.

Legal authorization to work in the United States.

CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
