Position: Full-Time Live-Out Nanny
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 11:30am -7pm; Wednesday 8:30am – 2:30pm; Friday 8am – 7pm; must be available for occasional early mornings/ evenings
Salary: $35 – $40/hour
Start Date: ASAP


About the Family
A warm and welcoming private family located in Haverford, PA is looking to hire a dedicated and professional Nanny to join their household. They value kindness, collaboration, and a thoughtful approach to childcare, and they are seeking someone who will become a long-term, trusted partner in their children’s development.

Children: Two children — 3.5-year-old boy, 2-year-old girl, baby due February 2026 (a newborn nurse will assist for a period after birth)
Home Size: Spacious family residence
Pets: One friendly 20lb dog
Household Staff: Full-time housekeeper 


Responsibilities

  • Provide engaged, developmentally appropriate care for two young children, focusing primarily on the older children while the newborn is under the care of a nurse

  • Partner with parents to maintain a respectful, gentle parenting approach — no time-outs; instead, explain consequences, guide through big emotions, and encourage problem-solving

  • Plan and lead enriching, screen-free activities such as singing, dancing, dress-up, imaginative play, outdoor exploration, and arts and crafts

  • Foster curiosity, creativity, and learning by engaging with the children’s interests and introducing new experiences

  • Organize and attend playdates, encouraging positive peer interaction

  • Transport children to/from preschool on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays)

  • Maintain flexibility for domestic travel (approximately 8–10 weeks per year), supporting the children’s routines while away from home

  • Collaborate with parents and the housekeeper to ensure smooth household operations

  • Provide basic pet care as needed, including feeding and occasional walks

They are patient, nurturing, and emotionally attuned, with the ability to help children navigate big feelings calmly and constructively. Energetic and creative, they bring enthusiasm to daily activities while maintaining structure and consistency. A team-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in truly getting to know the children are essential.


Requirements

  • Prior professional nanny experience in a private household

  • Excellent references

  • Legal to work in the United States

  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Flexibility to travel domestically for extended periods

  • Comfortable working in a screen-free household for the children

  • Comfortable around dogs
