Position: ROTA Nanny (Live-Out NYC / Live-In Long Island)
Location: Downtown Manhattan, NYC
Compensation: $125,000–$145,000 DOE + Medical Benefits
A happy, mindful family in NYC is looking for two full-time rotational nannies (ROTA Nannies) to help care for their first baby girl who is 2 months old. Their home has a peaceful, calm, kind, and respectful vibe with clear communication and a gentle, team-oriented approach.
This is a live-out position during the Fall, Winter, and Spring months, and live-in during the Summer in the family’s summer home on Long Island.
Schedule
- 2-weeks on / 2-weeks off Sunday to Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
- Fall/Winter/Spring
- Live-Out in Downtown Manhattan, NYC majority of time.
- Occasional trips to Long Island within the 2-week rotation, live-in.
- Summers
- Live-in, Long Island home, 24/7 coverage.
- Must have flexibility to bob and weave with family’s needs.
- You will coordinate with 2nd ROTA Co-Nanny as needed for holidays and vacations to ensure 365 coverage for the family.
- Flexibility to stay with mom when dad travels (about once or twice every 3 months)
Responsibilities
- Have the stamina to work extended hours caring for a baby and assisting with household tasks.
- Assist with light household tasks (emptying dishwasher, laundry, tidying shared spaces, basic meal prep, groceries, inventory, and generally helping to keep the home running smoothly). Note: family has dedicated housekeepers at both residences, so you are not expected to deep clean.
- Walking/feeding family dog as needed. (Dog is a hypoallergenic, calm, fully trained Mini Australian Labradoodle.)
- Ability to guide the family through early childhood development and milestones.
- Nurture and encourage child’s innate curiosity and learning potential as she develops and explores the world through books and activities.
Qualifications
- Must be local to NYC, commuting distance to Downtown Manhattan.
- Experience and expertise with newborns.
- Comfortable collaborating with parents (mom and dad work in and out of the home).
- Cheery, loving, and energetic personality.
- Must be physically able to lift and care for a growing baby.
- Team-oriented — open to occasional schedule swaps with Co-Nanny.
- Driving ability is a bonus, not required.
- Fluency in 2nd language is a bonus, not required.
This is a long-term role for a seasoned nanny looking for a consistent, high-level position. Competitive salary offered based on experience, along with medical benefits.
