Overview:
A private couple in Bryn Mawr is seeking a Part-Time Executive Housekeeper to care for and maintain their beautiful home. The couple’s three adult children live elsewhere but occasionally visit or stay overnight. The ideal candidate is discreet, experienced, observant, and proactive, with strong attention to detail and a genuine sense of pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily and weekly housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and changing bed linens.
  • Manage laundry: wash, fold, iron, and coordinate drop-off/pick-up from the local cleaners.
  • Care for fine furnishings, artwork, and silver with appropriate cleaning methods and discretion.
  • Load/unload dishwasher, maintain kitchen tidiness, and keep household supplies organized.
  • Water interior plants and ensure all rooms are neat and well-maintained.
  • Walk and feed the family’s older dog; occasionally drive the smaller dog to the Mrs.’s nearby office (1 mile away).
  • Greet and oversee service providers or deliveries, and communicate updates or instructions as needed.
  • Ensure the home is secure and handle alarm systems responsibly.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional housekeeping experience, preferably in private homes or estates.
  • Experience working in large, well-appointed residences with fine materials and finishes.
  • Strong communication skills and full command of spoken and written English.
  • Reliable, punctual, and highly discreet.
  • Excellent judgment, with the confidence to ask questions when unsure.
  • Comfortable around dogs and attentive to their needs.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to commute reliably to Bryn Mawr.

What Works Best for the Family:
Someone who is trustworthy, proactive, and takes initiative. A true professional who values discretion, communicates clearly, and maintains a calm and polished presence. The family travels frequently, so reliability and sound judgment are essential.
