Position: Full-Time Personal Assistant / Nanny
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11am–7pm with flexibility for occasional evenings or overnights
Salary: $45+ DOE,  ​​​MetroCard provided, and 3 weeks paid time off

About the Family

A warm and welcoming private family of four located in Tribeca, NY is seeking an exceptionally bright and organized Personal Assistant / Nanny to help manage their active household and provide thoughtful after-school care for their two middle-school-aged children (ages 11 and 13).

The family values intelligence, discretion, and reliability and is seeking someone who can operate with autonomy, professionalism, and warmth. They want a long-term addition to their home who can handle logistics seamlessly, think critically, and represent the family with polish in all interactions.

Children: Two, ages 11 and 13
Pets: None
Household Staff: Full time Housekeeper 


Responsibilities

Personal Assistant Duties

  • Manage family calendars, appointments, and travel logistics with precision and foresight

  • Conduct in-depth online and phone-based research; present findings clearly and concisely

  • Handle sophisticated phone and email communications on behalf of the family

  • Use ChatGPT and other AI tools to assist with research, correspondence, and task automation

  • Coordinate vendors, service providers, and household logistics independently

  • Track expenses, organize receipts, manage returns, and maintain digital and paper records

  • Plan and support family events, holidays, and travel arrangements

  • Confidently navigate Manhattan and surrounding areas when needed for errands or coordination

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with professionalism

Childcare Duties

  • Provide after-school supervision and guidance for middle-school-aged children

  • Assist with homework and academic projects 

  • Coordinate and drive to extracurricular activities; ensure children are well-prepared

  • Plan and supervise enriching, age-appropriate activities and outings

  • Occasionally provide overnight care when parents are traveling


Ideal Candidate & Personality

The ideal candidate is highly intelligent, proactive, tech-savvy, and adaptable—someone who anticipates needs rather than waits for instruction. They should be a strong communicator, capable of having thoughtful, professional conversations on the family’s behalf.

They are organized, reliable, and calm under pressure, with the ability to pivot quickly when plans change. A New York City background or familiarity with metropolitan logistics is strongly preferred. The right person enjoys wearing many hats, uses technology to streamline their work, and can operate both independently and collaboratively.

They must have prior experience working with middle school and older-aged children, demonstrating a strong understanding of how to support and engage this age group academically and socially.


Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or Family Assistant in a private household

  • Demonstrated experience working with middle school and older-aged children

  • Excellent communication, writing, and research skills

  • Tech-savvy; proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and ChatGPT

  • Excellent references from previous employers

  • Legal to work in the United States

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
