Position: Part-Time Housekeeper
Location: Purchase, NY
Schedule: ~20 hours/week (flexible, preferably no Fridays)
Compensation: $40/hr gross, paid on the books via direct deposit
A warm, busy family in Purchase, NY is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their home. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, dog-friendly, and comfortable communicating in English. This role focuses heavily on housekeeping and household support; the family handles their own childcare but would appreciate occasional help for date nights.
Responsibilities
Household Management & Errands
- Grocery shopping and pantry restocking
- Running errands as needed
- Picking up prescriptions
- Pick-up and drop-off of dry cleaning
- Handling returns and small household tasks
Housekeeping
- Full housekeeping of a well-maintained home
- Care and cleaning of antiques
- Laundry for the family
- Ironing and starching when required
- Experience polishing silver is a plus
- General upkeep and organization of living spaces
Family & Home Environment
- Occasional childcare for two children (ages 5 & 8) during date nights
- Must be comfortable with a friendly rescue black lab
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English
- Mom works from home; Dad works from home Monday, Thursday, and Friday
- Children are in school and activities until 5 PM
Requirements
- Prior housekeeping experience, ideally in private homes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Comfort with pets, especially dogs
- Professionalism, reliability, and good communication skills
- Ability to care for delicate items (antiques, silver, etc.)
Schedule
- Approximately 20 hours per week
