About the Family

A genuinely warm and thoughtful family of four in Chappaqua/Mt. Kisco is looking for a joyful, energetic, and experienced nanny to join their home. Their 2.5-year-old twins are sweet, curious, and active toddlers who attend preschool each morning. Mom works both from home and outside the home; she typically spends one day a week in the city and travels frequently for work. Dad works from home and is in and out throughout the day.

The family values kindness, professionalism, communication, and someone who truly enjoys being part of a household that treats their nanny with care and respect. They’re looking for a long-term partnership with someone who will grow with them.

  • Children: Twins (G) 2.5, (B) 2.5
  • No Pets
  • Household Staff: The family currently has a housekeeper who comes twice a week.

Responsibilities

Childcare (Primary Focus)

  • Provide loving, hands-on care for toddler twins
  • Manage morning routine, school prep, and drop-off/pick-up
  • Create fun developmentally enriching activities (arts, music, outdoor play, sensory activities, reading, etc.)
  • Explore local classes, story times, and social activities
  • Support naps and simple evening routines (including bathtime)
  • Stay fully present, attentive, and engaged throughout the day

Household Support

  • Child-focused tasks: laundry, organizing bedrooms, and play spaces
  • Light daily tidying of kitchen, kids’ rooms, bathroom, and main areas
  • Occasional errands or grocery trips, as needed
  • Prep and cook simple, family-friendly meals — especially great for a nanny who enjoys the kitchen – someone who loves to cook is a huge bonus!!

Travel & Summers

  • Comfortable traveling with the family domestically and internationally – must have a valid U.S. Passport
  • Confident, strong swimmer
  • Live-in during summers at the family’s Cape Cod home (private bedroom and bathroom provided on a separate floor)

Ideal Candidate

The family is looking for someone who is:

  • Warm, joyful, and patient
  • Passionate about childcare and instinctively nurturing
  • Experienced with toddlers (multiples preferred)
  • Proactive, trustworthy, and able to take initiative
  • Communicative, open to feedback, and easygoing
  • Professional, reliable, and steady
  • Friendly and pleasant without being overly talkative
  • Loves to cook
  • Fully engaged—no phone distractions

Most importantly, they want someone whose presence brings comfort, consistency, and genuine happiness to the twins’ day. They are seeking someone who is looking for a long-term placement and will become a valued part of their household.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional nanny experience in a private home
  • Excellent, verifiable references from recent, previous employers
  • Legal to work in the U.S.
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong, confident swimmer
  • Willing to travel with family and live-in during the summer
