Position: Part-Time Personal Assistant / House Manager (Live-Out)
Location: Chatham, NJ
Schedule: Monday – Friday 9am – 2pm (Approximately 25 hours per week)
Salary: $40 – $45 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: February 1st

A warm, professional private family in Chatham, NJ is seeking a highly organized and proactive Part-Time Personal Assistant / House Manager to support their home and lifestyle. Day-to-day responsibilities will include running errands, conducting research for various home and personal projects, overseeing small household tasks, and keeping the home organized and running smoothly.

Responsibilities
Executive & Personal Support

Manage calendars, appointments, reminders, and family scheduling

Research and book domestic and international travel
-
Maintain and track all frequent flier accounts, airline credits, travel reward points, and credit card perks

Conduct research and follow-through on personal and household initiatives
-
Maintain and organize sensitive documents, household records, passwords, and digital files
-
Track tasks, deadlines, and ongoing projects proactively
Household Management

Oversee household systems and ensure the home runs smoothly day-to-day

Research, interview, and coordinate vendors and contractors for home projects

Present vendor comparisons and make informed recommendations to the family

Manage ongoing home projects and liaise with maintenance providers

Maintain household inventories and restock supplies

Ensure the home remains organized, tidy, and guest-ready

Assist with home automation coordination or troubleshooting

Provide light organizing and household support (weekly cleaners handle deep cleaning)
Lifestyle & Daily Support

Run errands including grocery shopping, gifting, returns, and mailings

Assist with basic cooking or meal prep as needed

Support entertaining, holidays, and occasional hosting

Walk and care for the small family dog

Offer warm, professional support to the household
Ideal Candidate & Personality
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, takes ownership, friendly, emotionally intelligent, takes feedback well. They should be technologically savvy, confident managing vendors, and able to operate independently with excellent judgment. A calm demeanor, strong work ethic, and long-term mindset are essential.
Requirements

Prior experience as a Personal Assistant or House Manager in a private household
