Household Support Specialist Needed in Oberlin, OH
Position: Household Support Specialist
Location: Oberlin, OH (with travel to Bay Village & Marblehead, OH)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9AM–5PM, with flexibility 1–2 evenings per week (schedule planned a month in advance)
Position Type: Live-Out (local candidates preferred)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP (flexible for the right fit)
Rate: $30–$40/hr

About the Family:
The family is an active household of six, including two sets of twins (8-year-olds and 10-year-olds). They are seeking a skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented professional to support their home with comprehensive household care, and occasional childcare. The role emphasizes ensuring the smooth operation of the household.
HOUSEHOLD MANAGEMENT / DAILY UPKEEP

Daily room-to-room straightening and general tidying between deep cleaners who come bi-weekly.

Maintain household systems and routines for smooth daily operations

Anticipate household needs and address issues proactively

Household shopping and errands (Costco, Heinen’s, other vendors)

Assist with dry cleaning pickup/drop-off

Organize and submit household receipts monthly
-
Request approvals for household expenses
-
Assist with packing/unpacking for family travel
LAUNDRY & WARDROBE CARE

Handle full family laundry: washing, drying, folding, steaming, and ironing

Care for delicates and specialty fabrics, including stain treatment
-
Organize wardrobes, rotate seasonal clothing, and maintain linen closets
-
Prepare weekly outfits for each child (head-to-toe)

Change children’s bedding every two weeks
-
Weekly cleaning and maintenance of coats, shoes, gloves, and seasonal items

Maintain laundry areas clean, stocked, and organized
HOME & CLOSET ORGANIZATION

Organize closets, storage spaces, pantries, and household systems
-
Maintain routines to support a smooth household flow

Organize sock bins and personal storage by child
-
Support overall household structure, order, and efficiency
CHILDCARE / NANNY ASSISTANT

Provide supplemental childcare support as needed (family employs full-time nanny)

Assist with homework, school-related activities, and enrichment projects
-
Support after-school routines and snacks
-
Assist with crafts, library visits, camps, and research
-
Transport children when requested
-
Serve as a reliable backup caregiver when needed
HOME & PROPERTY SUPPORT

Weekly vehicle care: washing, vacuuming, fueling

Water landscaping and assist with light outdoor upkeep

Assist with light household tasks: basic assembly, picture hanging, organization

Coordinate with the handyman, farm manager, or other staff as needed
IDEAL CANDIDATE

Prior experience as a House Manager, Housekeeper, Family Assistant, or Nanny in a private household

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive

Strong time management and multitasking skills

Professional, discreet, reliable, and flexible

Comfortable supporting a busy household with multiple children

Proactive and able to follow established systems

Strong communication skills
-
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
