Private Company in Manhattan, NY Seeking a Temporary Admin / Senior Administrative Assistant
Position: Temporary Full-Time Live-Out Admin / Senior Administrative Assistant
Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours (approximately 9:00 AM–5:00/6:00 PM)
Salary: $50–$65 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Temporary, 4–6 weeks with the possibility to extend
Relocation: No – local NYC candidates only
About the Company
A well-established and fast-paced company located in Manhattan, New York, is seeking a highly capable Administrative or Senior Administrative Assistant to provide temporary support to a Legal and/or Private Equity group. The team is professional, detail-oriented, and collaborative, and they are looking for someone who can step in quickly, hit the ground running, and provide seamless administrative support during this interim period.
Responsibilities

Provide high-level administrative support to senior leaders and team members within the Legal and/or Private Equity group

Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate across internal and external stakeholders

Prepare, edit, and format documents, presentations, and correspondence

Assist with legal, compliance, or transaction-related administrative tasks as needed

Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reports, if required

Support general office operations and ad hoc projects as assigned

The ideal candidate is polished, proactive, and highly organized, with experience supporting senior-level professionals in a legal, private equity, finance, or professional services environment. They are comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, have excellent judgment, and are trusted to handle confidential matters with discretion. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate needs are essential.
This role is well-suited for a seasoned administrative professional who enjoys temporary assignments and can quickly adapt to new systems, teams, and workflows.
Requirements

Prior experience as an Administrative Assistant or Senior Administrative Assistant

Experience supporting Legal, Private Equity, Finance, or similar professional services teams strongly preferred

Legal to work in the United States

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills
