Private Chef — Manhattan
A private well-traveled family seeks an experienced and discreet Private Chef to work 6 days a week in the family residence in Manhattan. This role supports the busy parents and their three children by delivering consistently high-quality, health-focused nutritious meals. The ideal candidate has experience working as a private chef, polished, low-profile, and highly intuitive, with the ability to anticipate needs while maintaining the utmost professionalism and discretion.
Schedule & Scope
● Prepare daily family dinners 5 of 6 days per week (weekends are of high priority)
● Hours are Tentatively: M, T, W noon-8pm , Thurs off, Friday 2pm-10pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am-8pm
● Schedule is flexible and hours will be discussed cohesively with the family in advance to give both parties ample time to plan and execute.
● Prepare fresh salads and dressings, healthy snacks, and convenient, ready-to-grab breakfasts to be stored in the refrigerator for the following day
● The Chef will be required to prepare meals for larger number of people during holidays and planned events as requested
● The family is hosting small sitdown dinners (up to 10 people) regularly, and buffet style events (up to 30 people) occasionally. The Chef should be experienced planning a menu with the family’s matriarch and executing.
● Experience with both GF and Keto/Paleo cuisines is required
●This position is for 10 months out of the year (September-June) as the family is traveling during July and August. During the 2 months that the family is traveling, the Chef will have unpaid vacation days.
Key Responsibilities
● Design and execute weekly menus emphasizing fresh, seasonal, and health-conscious cuisine ● Accommodate dietary preferences, allergies, and nutritional guidelines as directed by the family
● Prepare and serve daily meals (mainly dinner dinner unless otherwise agreed) for the family
● Cater larger family gatherings, holidays, and special events with impeccable presentation and service
● Coordinate with household staff and/or Personal Assistants to align menus with schedules and events
● Manage all kitchen operations, including inventory control, grocery procurement, vendor relationships, and pantry organization
● Track food expenses and maintain budgets as directed
● Clean, dry, and properly store all dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment used during the cooking and service process
● Maintain a pristine, well-organized kitchen while adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene
● Properly label, store, and rotate food to ensure freshness and compliance with safety standards
● Pack meals for travel, school, or off-site events as needed
● Remain flexible and willing to travel to other residences as required

Qualifications
● Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Private Chef in a UHNW household
● Culinary training or equivalent professional experience preferred
●Strong knowledge of seasonal ingredients, nutrition, and health-focused cuisine
● Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive
● Ability to take direction while also working independently
● Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally if needed
● Able to pass a comprehensive background check and provide professional references
Compensation & Benefits
● Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually, commensurate with experience
● Paid Vacation: Yes
