Private Family in Traverse City, Michigan Seeking a Full-Time Nanny (This position could be live in to start and then live out- perfect for someone willing to relocate!)

Position: Full-Time Nanny- open to individuals who need to relocate
Schedule: 
Here is a sample schedule-

Mondays 9:30AM-6PM (8.5)
Tuesday 9:30AM-6PM (8.5)
Wednesdays 11AM-6PM (7)
Thursdays 9:30AM-6PM (8.5)
Fridays 11:30PM-4:30PM (5)
Sample Total (37.5) this can be less if nanny wants a week-day off or more if they want 40-45 hours (with adding/taking away from beginning/end times) Weekends aren’t required

Salary: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience

About the Family

A large, active private family located in Traverse City, Michigan is seeking  a full-time nanny to join their team. This is a long-term opportunity in a busy, warm, and outdoors-oriented household. The family values organization, respect, and teamwork, and is looking for caregivers who can help manage the logistics and rhythm of a large family. Their 8 year old son is currently being home schooled. Mom and/or dad work with him at night but would love the nanny to be comfortable to work with him for 30min-1 hour during the day when their other son is napping or occupied.

  • Children: Six children- but the nanny is for the two boys ages 4, 

  • Household Staff:  Deep-cleaning professional already in place

Living Accommodations:
Live Out- but if the individual would want to live in for the first few months- this is ok.


Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for multiple children

  • Manage morning routine, including meals, dressing, outdoor play, and age-appropriate activities

  • Support school-year routines, including:

    • School pickups

    • Afternoon snacks

    • Homework supervision

    • Play and downtime until dinner

  • Light housekeeping related to the children and family (deep cleaning handled by another professional)

  • Driving children to and from school and activities (car provided)


Ideal Candidate & Personality

The ideal candidates are positive, patient, energetic, and active, with experience working in larger households. They enjoy being outdoors, can confidently manage a fast-paced family environment, and are comfortable handling logistics. Candidates must be respectful of family values and sensitive topics, organized, and adaptable. This family is seeking long-term nannies who will become trusted members of their household team.


Requirements

  • Prior experience in a similar nanny role, ideally with large families

  • Comfortable driving in winter conditions (snow present 4–5 months per year)

  • Ability to manage food allergies (peanut, tree nut, pine nut)

  • Excellent references (minimum of two)

  • Legal to work in the United States

  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • English speaking

  • Willing to undergo background checks and drug testing upon offer
