Position: Full-Time Live-Out Household Manager
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–6:30pm | 2 weeks on / the 2 weeks is less hours
Salary: $45–$50 (+DOE) per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
● Own and oversee all daily household operations at the Virginia residence
● Maintain household systems, schedules, and detailed inventories
● Ensure the home is consistently guest-ready and travel-ready
Staff & Vendor Leadership
● Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate household staff
● Set clear performance expectations and address issues directly and professionally
● Manage all vendors including housekeeping, maintenance, landscaping, security, and specialty services
● Recommend staffing or vendor changes to maintain quality, efficiency, and budget discipline
Budget & Financial Alignment
● Track and manage household expenses for the Virginia residence
● Exercise discretion and cost awareness in daily spending
● Approve routine household expenses within established guidelines
Family & Personal Support
● Support daily household rhythms involving the principal and his children
● Chauffeur children as needed, including school drop-offs, pick-ups, and extracurricular activities
● Provide personal assistance including reservations, bookings, errands, and logistics
● Prepare and serve healthy meals aligned with the principal’s regimented diet
● Oversee household entertaining, including dining presentation, table settings, and service flow ● Maintain fine furnishings, artwork, wardrobes, and vehicles to high standards Secondary
Responsibilities – Puerto Rico (Support When Family Is Present)
● Act as the on-site representative of the principal during visits
● Ensure smooth transitions between the Virginia and Puerto Rico residences
● Accompany the principal on occasional travel when required Pet Care
● Provide occasional care for the principal’s well-behaved 16 lb dog
● The role includes fluctuating workload demands, with periods of extended hours aligned to the family’s presence in Virginia.
● Approximately two weeks per month require intensive, hands-on operational coverage while the family and children are in residence.
● During periods when the Owner is in Puerto Rico, the House Manager remains responsible for ongoing Virginia operations, including maintenance coordination, service scheduling, vendor access, and deliveries.

Requirements

Culinary training or extensive cooking experience
● Comfortable working in a household with older children
● Comfortable around dogs
● Minimum 8 years of experience in private service or household management
● Proven experience managing staff, vendors, and complex households
● Strong technology proficiency
● Ability to travel to Puerto Rico if needed
● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
● Valid passport and travel-ready
● Authorization to work in the United States
● Excellent, verifiable references
