Position: Full-Time, Live-Out Household Manager/Cook
Location: Port Washington, NY (with optional summer travel to Southampton, NY)
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week with flexibility as required; start time anticipated between 9:00am–10:00am.
Start Date: Flexible / ASAP
Salary: $1400-$1500 weekly
Relocation: No – local candidates preferred; flexibility to work in Southampton during summer months is a plus
About the Household
A private couple based in Port Washington, New York is seeking a reliable, organized, and service-oriented live-out individual to support the daily operations of their home. The role focuses heavily on meal preparation, pet care, light housekeeping, and overall household organization. The household environment is calm and well-maintained, and the principals are seeking someone who is proactive, trustworthy, and takes pride in creating a comfortable, smoothly run home.
During the summer months, the family travels between their Port Washington residence and their Southampton home. While not required, flexibility and willingness to work in Southampton during this time is considered a strong plus.

Position Overview
The live-out housekeeper will play a key role in supporting the household through daily meal preparation, attentive care for the family’s dogs, light cleaning, laundry assistance, and maintaining organized, functional living spaces. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, is comfortable caring for older pets, and excels at keeping a home orderly and well-managed.
Primary Responsibilities
Pet Care (Three Small, Senior Dogs)

Provide daily care, companionship, feeding, and walking for three small, older dogs

Administer medications and support any special dietary needs as directed

Maintain clean, tidy, and comfortable pet areas

Provide dog-sitting coverage in the homeowners’ residence when the principals are away for the day or overnight
Meal Preparation & Kitchen Support

Plan and prepare (vegan) healthy, home-style meals for two adults

Handle grocery shopping, pantry stocking, and meal preparation

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, pantry, and refrigerator

Monitor household food supplies and restock as needed
Household Organization

Maintain organized closets, drawers, storage areas, and general living spaces

Ensure the kitchen and pantry remain functional, uncluttered, and well-organized

Assist with laundry, including washing, folding, and putting items away
Light Housekeeping & Household Support

Perform daily tidying and light cleaning in bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas

Coordinate with outside cleaning staff to ensure homes are consistently clean and well-maintained

Run small household errands, manage deliveries, and handle returns as needed
