Position Title: Nanny (Rotational Live-In) 3 weeks on/3 weeks off
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Full-time, rotational live-in schedule, 3 weeks on/3 weeks off
Position is structured around a rotational schedule as part of a three-person caregiving team. This hire will overlap 2 weeks with 1 Nanny, and 1 week with the other Nanny. In addition, while each Nanny is on, they have a 1-hr lunch break and 4 off hours. 

Schedule includes weekdays, weekends, overnight support and holidays.
Final schedule will be determined in coordination with the family.

Position Overview: The Nanny is responsible for the full care of a child (turning 2-years old in April), supporting their health, safety, and development in a live-in setting. This includes meeting all physical, emotional, and developmental needs of the child while maintaining routines and providing consistent, loving care. The Nanny will work in close partnership with the parents as well as the collaborative household team.

Core Responsibilities
• Provide attentive and loving care for the child at all times, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain consistent routines for feeding, sleep, play, and activities.
• Bathe, dress, and change the baby daily and as needed.
• Prepare and serve nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks, supporting the child’s introduction to solids and healthy eating habits. Clean and sanitize bottles, dishware, and utensils.
• Support the baby’s developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities, play, and language development.
• Track and monitor developmental progress, communicating regularly with parents.
• Read to the baby daily and engage in interactive learning activities.
• Create and maintain a nurturing, stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Maintain a daily log tracking feeding times, naps, diaper changes, milestones, and observations.
• Wash and organize baby laundry; maintain cleanliness of nursery and play areas.
• Keep supplies stocked and organized; communicate needs in a timely manner.
• Travel with the family as needed, ensuring baby’s comfort and continuity of care. • Prepare baby for activities; participate and engage as needed.
• Provide overnight support, including night wakings, diaper changes, and soothing.
• Work weekends and holidays as needed, with appropriate rest and breaks scheduled in coordination with the family.
• Collaborate with parents and household staff on care plans, transitions (e.g., weaning, sleep shifts, potty training), and family routines.
• Communicate with family and colleagues on daily activities and updates.
• Maintain professionalism and discretion at all times, especially in a private home setting.

Key Attributes
• A minimum of 15 years of caring for infants and toddlers, with live-in and rotational experience.
• Experience working as part of a nanny team with an understanding of collaboration, communication and seamless care transitions.
• Strong understanding of developmental stages, particularly with toddlers.
• A naturally patient, caring and compassionate demeanor.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal skills; efficient communicator and responsive.
• Ability to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner. • Exhibits a proactive approach and enjoys a dynamic work environment.
• Able to work independently as well as with others in a variety of circumstances and with a diverse group of individuals, self-starter, takes initiative.
• Precise, reliable and flexible.
• Comfort with or willingness to learn kosher-friendly meal preparation
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, judgement, discretion and professionalism.
• Local to NYC/Tri State; familiar with Manhattan

Other Information
• Current vaccinations required (minimum – flu, COVID, TdaP).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US
• Relevant training or certifications in childcare, child development, infant and child CPR certification required.
• Willing and able to travel internationally with the family; Passport ready for travel • Salary $125,000 annually, flexible for the right fit, and DOE.
