Private Family in Rumson, NJ Seeking a Full-Time Nanny/Mother’s Helper
Position: Full-Time Live-Out Nanny
Schedule: Monday–Friday, ideally 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (flexible)
Salary: $35–40 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Travel: Monthly or Bi-Monthly
About the Family
A warm, welcoming private family located in Rumson, NJ is seeking a dedicated, positive, and energetic full-time nanny to join their household long-term. The family values reliability, flexibility, and a nanny who truly enjoys being hands-on and part of an active family dynamic.
Children: Three young children – 3-year-old twins and a 17-month-old
Pets: One very friendly 125 lb Rottweiler (no pet care required)
Household Staff: None currently; this role works closely with mom
Mom is currently at home and very involved with the children but needs an extra set of hands to allow her to do more with them. The nanny should be fully comfortable caring for all three children independently when needed.
Responsibilities
• Provide attentive, nurturing care for three young children
• Create structure and routine, especially in the mornings (days of the week, brushing teeth, hair, counting games, crafts, etc.)
• Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play
• Prepare simple meals for the children and assist with light child-related cleaning and laundry
• Work both alongside mom and independently as needed
• Be excited and comfortable traveling with the family as an extra set of hands and support
Travel
This role is ideal for someone excited about travel. The nanny should be open to accompanying the family on domestic and occasional international trips with plenty of advance notice. Travel typically occurs every other month and may increase to monthly, usually for a week or long weekend. All accommodations, food, and expenses are covered. A valid passport is required.
Ideal Candidate & Personality
The ideal candidate is warm, upbeat, playful, and genuinely enjoys being around children. A happy, energetic personality is important, as well as someone who brings positivity, music, fun, and structure into the home. Teaching or early childhood experience is a plus. The family is looking for a long-term nanny who will grow with them and become a valued part of their household.
Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus but not required.
