Private Family in Washington, DC Seeking a Part-Time Housekeeper (Long-Term with Flexible Hours)
Position: Part-Time Live-Out Housekeeper
Schedule:
• Monday / Wednesday / Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Open to flexibility (e.g., 5 hours per day in the mornings, 5 days per week)
• Approximately 25 hours per week
• Open to adding a few additional hours for candidates who enjoy cooking
Compensation: $35–40 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: Flexible (current housekeeper is leaving at the end of March; an earlier start is possible for the right candidate)
Payroll: Yes
Benefits: Two weeks PTO + paid federal holidays

A warm, kind, and highly respectful private family in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced, professional part-time housekeeper to join their household long-term. The family truly values loyalty, honesty, communication, and a positive attitude, and they treat their staff like extended family.
They live in a beautifully maintained 7,500 sq ft home with high-end finishes, antiques, and artwork. The household is active but welcoming.. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely enjoys maintaining a pristine, organized home and enjoys becoming part of the family.
Children: Two girls, ages 10 and 12
Pets: One very easy-going King Charles Cavalier
Parents: Both work demanding jobs; sometimes work from home
Responsibilities
• Full housekeeping, including deep cleaning and daily upkeep
• Extensive laundry and ironing (including sheets)
• Proper bed-making and linen care
• Organizing cabinets, pantry, and refrigerator
• Stocking household supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) and creating restock lists
• Weekly washing machine cleaning with tablet
• Caring for fresh flowers throughout the home (watering/changing)
• Maintaining household organization
This home is kept to high standards, and the family is seeking someone experienced with high-end homes, fine finishes, antique furniture, and artwork.
Cooking (Optional but a Plus)
Cooking is not required, but it is a big plus.
If the candidate enjoys cooking, the family is open to adding a few additional hours.

Requirements
