Private Family in Media, PA Seeking a Part-Time Nanny
Position: Part-Time, Live-Out Nanny
Schedule: Monday, Thursday, and Friday | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (30 hours)
Salary: $32–$35 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: April 1
About the Family
A warm and professional family located in Media, PA is seeking an experienced and nurturing part-time nanny to care for their 3 month old son beginning April 1. Mom is an ER physician and may occasionally be home resting between shifts. Dad has a hybrid schedule, splitting time between remote work and in-office responsibilities.
The family values professionalism, strong communication, and a caregiver who will provide attentive, developmentally focused care during these important early months. The baby’s health and safety are their highest priorities.
Children: One infant (3 months old at start date)

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, nurturing care for a newborn while maintaining a consistent daily schedule.

Follow and help reinforce structured routines for feeding, sleeping, and developmental activities.

Engage in age-appropriate play to support developmental milestones.

Read, talk, and actively interact with the baby throughout the day to encourage early language development.

Track daily activities in a designated app, including feedings, diaper changes, naps, and milestone progress.

Maintain open, proactive communication with parents regarding daily updates and developmental achievements.

Take the baby on walks as appropriate for fresh air and stimulation.

Wash bottles and ensure all feeding supplies are properly cleaned and sanitized.

Keep the nursery tidy and organized.
Ideal Candidate & Personality
The ideal candidate has extensive newborn experience and demonstrates a deep understanding of infant development. They are detail-oriented, structured, and attentive to routines while remaining warm and engaging.
This person should be highly communicative, comfortable collaborating with parents who may be present in the home at times, and confident in maintaining professionalism in a shared-workspace household environment.
A calm, nurturing demeanor and a genuine passion for supporting early childhood milestones are essential. The family is seeking someone reliable, proactive, and invested in providing exceptional infant care.
Requirements

Significant newborn care experience in private homes

Legal authorization to work in the United States

Up-to-date vaccinations, including Tdap and MMR

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain; family can facilitate)
