Private Family in Greenwich, CT Seeking a Weekend Housekeeper / Family Assistant
Position: Part-Time, Live-Out Housekeeper / Family Assistant
Schedule: Saturdays 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM and Sundays 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with flexibility to add additional hours Friday–Sunday if desired- could make this position 36 hours if needed)
Salary: $35.00 per hour
Start Date: Flexible / ASAP
Relocation: No – Local candidates preferred
About the Family
A warm and welcoming private family is seeking a reliable, calm, and proactive Weekend Housekeeper / Family Assistant to support their home and assist with light childcare. The family values teamwork, positivity, and building long-term relationships with the people they work with. They view household staff as an extension of the family and aim to create a respectful, supportive working environment.
Children: Two young children (ages 4.5 and almost 2)
Home: Private family residence with a pool- candidate must swim
Household Staff: Two staff members currently employed
Responsibilities
Housekeeping (Approximately 70%)
The majority of the role focuses on maintaining a clean, organized, and comfortable home environment. Duties include:

Vacuuming and mopping floors

Making beds and changing linens as needed

Laundry and folding
-
Cleaning bathrooms and kitchen

General household tidying and organization
Cooking / Meal Prep (Approximately 10%)

Assist with basic meal preparation for the children

Help prepare simple family meals when needed

Wash, chop, and prepare fruits and vegetables
-
Assist during children’s mealtimes
Childcare Support (Approximately 20%)

Assist with caring for the family’s two children
-
Play with the older child while the younger child naps
-
Supervise one or both children when parents step out briefly
-
Assist occasionally with bath time or bedtime routine
-
Engage children in age-appropriate activities (arts, playing outside, park visits, etc.)
Household Support & Errands

Occasional grocery runs or small errands (post office, dry cleaning, etc.)

Driving children to or from activities if needed (family vehicle provided)

Comfortable being around the family pool and able to swim if necessary
