Position: Full-Time Live-Out Housekeeper
Schedule: Full-time schedule, Monday-Friday (with flexibility to assist with early weekday family dinners and household needs) – i.e. 10:00 – 6:00 pm, but family can be flexible for the right fit
Salary: $40–$45 per hour; Competitive compensation commensurate with the candidate’s demonstrable experience; negotiable for the right candidate; Benefits: 2 weeks PTO, paid holidays, and the family is open to offering a monthly health stipend depending on the candidate’s needs.

A warm, welcoming, and respectful private family located in Pinecrest, FL (South Miami, zip code 33156) is seeking to hire a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper to join their household on a full-time basis.

The family consists of a professional couple and their two school-aged children. They live in a large, beautifully maintained residence filled with high-end furnishings and finishes and reside in the home more than ten months of the year.

The family describes themselves as gregarious, kind, and respectful, and they value creating a positive and collaborative home environment. They are hoping to find a housekeeper who will truly become a valued part of their household over the long term.

This is not a formal home, but the family maintains high standards of cleanliness and organization. The home is kept tidy, uncluttered, and well organized, with clear surfaces and thoughtful systems in place. The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day upkeep of the home and ensuring everything continues to run smoothly for the family.

They are looking for someone who is warm, kind, personable, and professional, as well as dedicated, honest, trustworthy, proactive, flexible, and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will take genuine pride in their work and enjoy maintaining a beautiful home environment.

Responsibilities

The primary focus of this role is maintaining the family home in a clean, organized, and well-managed condition. This is a classic, experienced housekeeper position, including deep cleaning, laundry, linen care, organization, and overall household upkeep.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Housekeeping & Daily Home Maintenance

  • Performing daily housekeeping and general upkeep of the residence to maintain a consistently clean and tidy environment.

  • Making beds, tidying bedrooms, and ensuring all living spaces remain organized and presentable.

  • Arranging furniture and decorative items while maintaining the home’s orderly appearance.

  • Caring for delicate and high-end surfaces throughout the home, including researching proper cleaning methods when necessary.

  • Cleaning and maintaining bathrooms, including mirrors, counters, fixtures, and refreshing towels on designated days.

  • Managing dishwashing and kitchen cleaning, including clearing cooking and dining areas after meals, particularly after early weekday family dinners.

  • Providing light floor care while supporting the home’s autonomous robot vacuum.

  • Cleaning some easily accessible windows and coordinating with the home’s glass cleaning contractor.

Laundry & Linen Care

  • Managing all laundry and ironing for the family.

  • Washing, folding, pressing, and organizing clothing and linens.

  • Changing bed linens and maintaining fresh, well-kept bedrooms.

  • Assisting with unpacking and organizing clothing closets as needed.

Household Organization & Supplies

  • Organizing kitchen cabinets, refrigerators, and food storage areas.

  • Monitoring food expiration and maintaining a well-organized kitchen environment.

  • Maintaining organization of the back-of-house pantry and household storage areas.

  • Monitoring and managing cleaning supply inventory.

  • Ordering cleaning supplies and equipment online when needed.

Household Operations & Errands

  • Identifying household maintenance or repair needs and reporting them to the employers or appropriate service providers.

  • Running household errands, including grocery shopping and managing dry cleaning.

  • Assisting with garbage and recycling management.

  • Supporting household organization projects under the direction of the employers.

  • Minding the home during regular working hours when the family is traveling.

Guest & Household Support

  • Monitoring access to the home and permitting entry for scheduled services and deliveries.

  • Welcoming house guests and preparing basic refreshments for visitors.

  • Supporting occasional house guests in a similar fashion to the resident family.

  • Assisting with preparation for larger dinner parties or gatherings and coordinating with outside service providers.
