Private Family in Alexandria, Virginia Seeking an Organized Housekeeper- Live In on the property
Position: Full-Time, Live-In Housekeeper
Schedule:5 days a week
Salary: $35-$40 per hour, depending on experience and overall fit
Start Date: Mid April or sooner (family currently in the process of moving)
Relocation: Yes – open to nationwide candidates
Living Accommodations– separate private living quarters.

A warm and down-to-earth private family in Alexandria, VA is seeking a dedicated and professional Housekeeper to support their home. Their primary focus is finding someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized household, while also being comfortable stepping in with light childcare support when needed. The focus at first will be assisting with organizing and setting up their new home.
They value positivity, kindness, discretion, and a drama-free personality, and are looking for someone who will be a long-term fit.
Children: One child (entering 1st grade)
Home: Beautiful property featuring antiques and nautical artifacts requiring thoughtful and experienced care
Responsibilities

Full-charge housekeeping: deep cleaning, daily upkeep, laundry, and organization

Care and maintenance of antiques and specialty items using appropriate cleaning methods and materials

Morning routine support: assist with getting child ready for school and possible school drop-off

Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the home

Run errands, including grocery shopping and household needs

Provide occasional childcare coverage when parents are unavailable (not a primary nanny role)

Assist with light household management tasks as needed

Potential for domestic and international travel with the family

Requirements

Prior experience working in a private household in a similar role
