About the Family

A warm and welcoming family in Gladwyne, PA is seeking an experienced and nurturing Nanny to join their household in anticipation of their baby due in April. The family also has an almost 2-year-old child. Mom is very hands-on and collaborative, and this role will involve working closely as part of a team with her. The household also employs a full-time housekeeper/cook, creating a well-supported and organized environment.

For the first two months, the family will have a nightly Newborn Care Specialist in place, allowing the nanny to focus on daytime routines and support during this transition period.

The family spends approximately 6 weeks during July and August at their home at the Jersey Shore and would love a nanny who can join them during that time (either staying for the duration or commuting back and forth).

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the newborn
  • Support the daily care and routines of the toddler alongside mom
  • Tag-team with mom—at times accompanying the toddler to classes or staying home with the baby
  • Maintain consistent feeding, sleeping, and activity schedules for the baby
  • Engage both children in age-appropriate, nurturing, and stimulating activities
  • Tidy children’s rooms, play areas, and common spaces used by the children
  • Handle children’s laundry and keep their belongings organized
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding routines, milestones, and any concerns
  • Travel with the family to the Jersey Shore during the summer

Qualifications

  • Significant newborn/infant experience (required)
  • Experience caring for multiple young children and working alongside a hands-on parent
  • Warm, reliable, and highly communicative
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable car
  • Organized, proactive, and attentive to detail
  • Willingness to travel during the summer
