Private Family on the Upper East Side, NY Seeking a Full-Time Housekeeper
Position Details
A warm and long-term Upper East Side family is seeking a dedicated, experienced full-time Housekeeper to join their household as soon as possible. This is a long-term opportunity for a professional who takes pride in their work, values consistency, and enjoys being part of a respectful, family-oriented environment.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday
- Typical Hours: 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM (flexibility required to start earlier or stay later with advance notice)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week, with opportunity for additional hours
- Compensation: $30–$35/hour, depending on experience
- Start Date: ASAP (family can wait for the right candidate)
- Location: Upper East Side, Manhattan, NY
- Additional: Flexibility to travel and/or stay over occasionally (especially during summer months)

The family includes a stay-at-home mother and three school-aged children (ages 5, 10, and 12). The household is well-established and values long-term relationships, having had multiple housekeepers stay with them for several years. They are seeking someone who will grow with their family and become a trusted, steady presence in the home.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily deep cleaning and general housekeeping duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization
- Care for laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, and wardrobe management
- Prepare healthy, family-style dinners; assist with grocery shopping and kitchen organization
- Help maintain an organized, efficient household environment
- Provide light childcare support in the afternoons, including:
- Assisting with school pick-ups
- Supporting after-school routines and activities
- Helping ensure smooth dinner and evening transitions
- Work collaboratively with the stay-at-home mother to support overall household needs

Requirements
- Prior experience working as a housekeeper in a private home

- Flexibility with schedule, including occasional extended hours, travel, or overnight stays
