Live-in Family Assistant | Greenwich, CT

A warm, welcoming blended family in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated Family Assistant/Nanny to support their children. The role focuses primarily on four younger children (ages 4-10) who are in school full-time and attend sleepaway camp for part of the summer. Two older children attend boarding school and return on weekends and during school breaks; they are largely self-sufficient and require minimal support.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is nurturing, highly organized, and confident managing a dynamic schedule across multiple age groups.

Start Date: June 2026
Schedule: Monday- Friday, mornings (~7:00 AM-10:00 AM) and afternoons/evenings (~2:00 PM-7:00 PM), totaling 40-50 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional weekends, overnights, and travel
Compensation: $100,000-$130,000/year (DOE) + private cottage on property + vehicle provided for work use

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily routines, ensuring children remain on schedule across school, activities, and therapies
  • Coordinate school drop-offs and pick-ups while facilitating calm, structured morning and evening transitions
  • Provide homework support and implement systems that promote organization, accountability, and independence
  • Maintain light tidying of shared spaces and lead ongoing organizational projects related to the children
  • Engage and nurture younger children while fostering independence and autonomy in older children
  • Manage complex, ever-changing calendars with a proactive, forward-thinking approach
  • Handle child-related errands and logistics as needed
  • Serve as a consistent, grounded, and positive presence within the home

Ideal Candidate:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Nanny/Family Assistant, with a strong background supporting multiple children
  • Confident supporting both younger and school-aged children, with the ability to adapt to varying ages and needs
  • Highly organized, structured, and proactive in managing a busy household
  • Warm, calm, and emotionally intelligent, with a naturally nurturing and intuitive approach
  • Excellent communicator –  clear, professional, and confident with both children and parents
  • Discreet and comfortable in a private, high-trust environment
  • Seeking a long-term role with a family (5–10+ years)
