Private Family in Lloyd Harbor, NY & The Hamptons, Seeking a Seasonal Nanny
Position: Full-Time Live-In/Live-Out Seasonal Nanny
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–7:30 PM, with flexibility; live-in during the week, return home on weekends (transportation provided)
Salary: $40–$45 per hour + overtime, commensurate with experience; negotiable for the right candidate
Start Date: Mid-June 2026 through early September 2026 (day before Labor Day)
Relocation: NO – open to local candidates who can commute back and forth; transportation provided for weekend travel
About the Family
A warm, organized, and welcoming private family spending the summer in Lloyd Harbor, NY (mid-June through July) and The Hamptons, NY (August/early September) is seeking an experienced and engaging Seasonal Nanny to join their household team. The family values collaboration, professionalism, and a positive, can-do attitude. This role will work closely with another nanny and a house manager to ensure seamless daily operations and excellent care for the children.
Children: Two children, ages 4 (B) and 7 (G)
Pets: None
Household Staff: Full-time nanny and house manager currently employed
Responsibilities

Provide attentive, hands-on care for both children, with a primary focus on the 4-year-old while the 7-year-old attends camp part of the summer

Plan and engage the children in fun, creative, and developmentally appropriate activities, especially for the younger child who will not be enrolled in camp

Supervise swimming and water-related activities at the pool and beach (must be a strong and safety-conscious swimmer)

Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children, strictly adhering to allergy guidelines (both kids have severe egg allergy)

Manage child-related household tasks, including children’s laundry, making beds, organizing play areas, and maintaining tidy spaces

Assist with scheduling and transitions between camp, activities, and home routines

Collaborate closely with the existing nanny and house manager to coordinate care, coverage, and daily responsibilities

Provide coverage for alternate shifts, scheduling needs, and staff vacations as required
Ideal Candidate & Personality
The ideal candidate is proactive, warm, and highly engaging, with a genuine love for working with children. They should be flexible, organized, and comfortable working in a fully staffed home environment. A calm, collaborative demeanor and a team-oriented mindset are essential. The candidate should be creative and energetic, able to plan enriching activities while also maintaining structure and routine. Respect for household preferences, especially regarding food safety and allergies, is critical.
Requirements

Prior experience in a similar nanny role within a private household, including care for multiple children

Excellent references
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Legally authorized to work in the United States

CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)

Strong swimming ability and commitment to water safety
