Position: Full-Time Live-Out Housekeeper / Family Assistant
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (50 hours/week) with flexibility for occasional later hours; very rare weekends with advance notice
Salary: $40–$45 per hour, depending on experience; negotiable for the right candidate

About the Family
A warm, organized, and busy family of four with residences in Tribeca, Manhattan and Lloyd Harbor, NY is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Family Assistant to join their household. The role is primarily based in Manhattan (approximately 80–90% of the time), with occasional time spent at their Lloyd Harbor home (approximately 10–20%) during school holidays and as needed. The family will spend August in the Hamptons, and the Housekeeper/Family Assistant will help the family prepare/close the home but not stay with them in the Hamptons. Family will have projects in Manhattan and/or Lloyd Harbor for the Housekeeper/Family Assistant to handle while they are away, mixed with some time off.

Children: Two children, ages 4 (B) and 7 (G)
Home Size: Approximately 1,900 sq ft Manhattan apartment; Lloyd Harbor property totals approximately 5,500 sq ft (4,500 sq ft main house + 1,000 sq ft guest house)
Pets: None
Household Staff: Full-time nanny and full-time household manager
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed daily cleaning and deep cleaning of both residences
- Laundry, ironing, folding, and wardrobe care
- Change linens and make beds regularly
- Organize closets, shelves, and storage spaces to maintain a highly orderly home
- Maintain overall household cleanliness, systems, and organization
- Follow detailed household instructions, systems, and checklists with precision
- Assist with occasional childcare, including school pick-ups and drop-offs as needed
- Step in to support children when nanny or household manager is unavailable
- Run errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning drop-off/pick-up, and household supply runs
- Light meal preparation including reheating pre-made meals, preparing simple sides, snacks, and children’s breakfasts
- Assist with preparing and closing the family’s Hamptons home (pre-arrival setup and end-of-season packing/cleaning; no full August stay required). Family will have projects in Manhattan and/or Lloyd Harbor for the Housekeeper/Family Assistant to handle while they are away, mixed with some time off.
- Utilize phones, tablets, or computers for online shopping, task management, and communication
- Work collaboratively with parents and existing household staff
- Maintain awareness and care around children’s severe egg allergy (training provided)

Position Requirements
- Prior experience in a similar housekeeping and family assistant role in a private household
- Excellent, verifiable references
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Comfortable assisting with children and occasional childcare responsibilities
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to follow detailed systems, instructions, and checklists
- Comfortable using technology (smartphone, email, online ordering platforms) for household tasks
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and needs
- Comfortable working in multiple residences (Manhattan and Lloyd Harbor)
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Comfortable managing and working around severe food allergies (egg allergy; training provided)
