Private Family in Doylestown, Pennsylvania Seeking a House Manager / Family Assistant
Position: Part-Time Live-Out House Manager / Family Assistant
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM
Salary: $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Relocation: No – local candidates only
About the Family
A welcoming private family located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania is looking to hire a dedicated and professional House Manager / Family Assistant. They are looking for someone who is organized and can help keep the home maintained.
Children: Two children, ages 8 and 6 (8-year-old has high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder and is high energy)
Home Size: 5,000 sq ft residence
Pets: One elderly dog who may take time to warm up to new people
Household Staff: Housekeeper (once per week)
Responsibilities
- Assist with morning routine and help get children ready and off to school
- General household management including tidying, organizing, and maintaining order
- Family laundry and making beds
- Meal prep and assisting with starting dinner
- Running errands such as dry cleaning and post office visits
- Providing childcare support as needed
Ideal Candidate & Personality
The ideal candidate is proactive, self-directed, and takes initiative in managing a busy household. They should enjoy working with children and feel confident supporting a high-energy child with Autism Spectrum Disorder. A calm, patient, and positive demeanor is essential, along with strong organizational skills. Someone who is comfortable in an active, walkable community and can adapt easily to the family’s needs will thrive in this role. The family is seeking a long-term fit who will become a valued part of their household.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a similar role in a private household
- Minimum of 2 excellent references
- Legal to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening upon hire
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable with dogs
- English speaking
Additional Details
- Living Arrangement: Live-out
- Vacation: 2 weeks (1 week chosen by family)
