Dynamic Live-in Family Assistant

Family in Bryn Mawr, PA is looking for a reliable Live-In Family Assistant to join their growing family.

The family has 2 children ages 2 and 4 and a baby on the way due in April. They also have 2 small dogs. The ideal candidate will be a nurturing and organized individual with experience in infant care and household management. The role involves providing assistance with childcare, light housekeeping, organization, errands, and meal preparation. The candidate can travel with the family, and living accommodation is available in a separate apartment over the garage.

Responsibilities:

1. Infant Care:

   • Assist with the care of the newborn, including feeding, diaper changes, and maintaining a nurturing environment.
   • Collaborate with parents to establish and follow a routine for the infant's well-being.

2. Childcare:

   • Engage with and supervise two children aged 2 and 4 (in pre-school during the day)
   • Organize age-appropriate activities and playtime.
   • Ensure a safe and stimulating environment for the children.

3. Household Management:

   • Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a tidy living space.
   • Manage laundry, including washing, folding, and organizing clothes.
   • Organize toys, rooms, and common areas to enhance functionality and cleanliness.

4. Errands and Driving:

   • Drive children to and from activities, playdates, and school.
   • Run errands such as grocery shopping and other household tasks.

5. Meal Preparation:

   • Prepare nutritious and well-balanced meals for the family.
   • Accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences.

6. Accommodation:

   • Option for live-in or live-out arrangement.
   • Separate apartment available over the garage for live-in candidates.

Work Schedule:

• Split schedule: 7:00am -9:00 am and 2:00 – 8:00 pm.
• 2 weeks would be Monday – Friday. Other 2 weeks would be Tuesday – Saturday. 

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare and household management.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Genuine interest in long-term commitment and family growth.
