Job Description: Housekeeper/House Manager

Position Overview: A private family residing in a beautiful home located in Fairfield, CT, is seeking a skilled and professional Housekeeper/House Manager to join their household. This individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining the residence's cleanliness, organization, and functionality, while also assisting with various tasks and responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the household.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced individual who possesses a thorough understanding of household cleaning and management. The candidate should be adept at performing fundamental cleaning tasks, managing laundry, coordinating errands, and maintaining supplies.  Familiarity with basic pool and grounds maintenance are essential. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to coordinate with various service professionals, such as HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and others. A professional demeanor is crucial, as the family's home office is used for tele-medicine.

Position Responsibilities:

Housekeeping:

  • Perform comprehensive housekeeping duties to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the entire residence.
  • Regularly clean and maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
  • Ensure that all rooms are well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Laundry:

  • Manage laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothes and linens.
  • Occasionally perform ironing tasks as needed.

Errands and Driving:

  • Run errands, including trips to the dry cleaners, post office, and other essential locations.
  • Use personal vehicle for errands and tasks as required.

Pet Care:

  • Feed the family's two Labrador dogs and one Russian Blue cat.

Household Management:

  • Anticipate and address potential household problems, such as light bulb replacements and minor maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate with various service professionals (HVAC, electricians, plumbers, etc.) to manage repairs and maintenance tasks.

Professional Demeanor:

  • Interact professionally and respectfully, especially when the family's home office is being used for tele-medicine.

Position Requirements:

Work Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Languages:

  • Fluency in English.

Experience:

  • Several years of experience in housekeeping and household management.

References:

  • Minimum of 2 professional references.

Background Checks:

  • Successfully pass stringent background checks and drug testing upon receiving a job offer.

Personality Traits:

  • Experience in efficiently managing a large household.
  • Positive, upbeat, and professional demeanor.
  • Grateful and appreciative attitude toward the opportunity.

Position Compensation:

Salary:

  • $35-$45 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Living Accommodations:

  • Live Out

Vacation:

  • 2 weeks of vacation, preferably taken during the family's vacation periods.

Health Insurance:
