Private family based in West Palm Beach is in search of a House Manager/Cook to work in their home. Ideally the schedule would be Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12PM to 8PM, but could be flexible for the right candidate.
Duties:
- Cooking: Duties require meal prep for lunch for two adults and family dinner nightly for two adults and three children during the school year. The two adults follow a specific high-protein diet (macro counting) and require specific types of protein/vegetables included. The ideal candidate is familiar with various cuisines and can modify recipes to fit these requirements, and is comfortable with measuring macros. They will be responsible for meal cleanup.
- Grocery shopping/household stocking: Shop for groceries and assist in ordering household needs (ie, cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc).
- House Management: The family maintains two main households (school year in Florida, summer in Hamptons) and the candidate will coordinate landscaping, pest control, pool maintenance, contractors and repair issues as needed. This may require travel during the year to be on-site to handle these issues. The candidate will also be asked to help coordinate family gatherings 1-2 times a year at travel destinations and will assist in grocery planning, bookings, etc.
The position will be live-out during the school year (Florida) and from early June through Labor Day in The Hamptons. The family will provide nearby housing. They would prefer the candidate work Thursday-Monday but would be flexible for the right person.
The family's preferred candidate is comfortable with small children, meticulous in following instructions, adaptable to various cuisines and comfortable with dealing with independent contractors for household maintenance. They prefer someone discreet who takes pride in their work but also allows the family time to relax in the evenings — this person's role allows them to spend more time with their children and they appreciate that.
Salary will be competitive and depending on experience
