We are a family of three, relocating to a smaller home in St. Paul, Minnesota, and we are in search of a dedicated and reliable Full-Time Housekeeper who can also assist with light childcare responsibilities for a 7 and 5-year-old children. The ideal candidate should be skilled in maintaining a clean and organized home, as well as providing a safe and nurturing environment for the kids. If you speak Portuguese or Spanish, that is a significant advantage, but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of our home.
- Vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping all rooms.
- Cleaning and disinfecting kitchen and bathroom areas.
- Laundry, including washing, folding, and ironing as needed.
- Making beds and changing linens regularly.
- Keeping the home's interior organized and clutter-free.
- Shopping for groceries and household supplies as required.
Childcare:
- Assist with school pick-ups and drop-offs, and transportation to extracurricular activities.
- Prepare and serve simple and nutritious meals and snacks.
- Engage in age-appropriate activities and playtime with the children.
- Help with homework and support their learning and development.
- Maintain a positive and nurturing environment for the kids.
Additional Duties:
- Light meal preparation and cooking.
- Running errands and grocery shopping.
- Occasional weekend flexibility is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a housekeeper with childcare experience, preferably in a family setting.
- Knowledge of housekeeping and childcare best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Flexibility in terms of scheduling.
- Fluent in Portuguese or Spanish (highly preferred but not mandatory).
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (if transportation is required).
Working Hours:
The schedule is flexible and will be discussed with the candidate, but we expect flexibility in return. Some weekend flexibility is a significant advantage, as our family may require occasional weekend assistance.
Salary and Benefits:
$30-$35/hour DOE
