A dynamic couple in Brooklyn is seeking a reliable and organized Family Assistant to manage the general organization and cleaning of their two adjacent apartments, handle errands, oversee deliveries, and assist with larger organizational projects such as renovations. The ideal candidate will be warm, friendly, and excited to become an integral part of the family's life. Flexibility, initiative, and the ability to take direction are crucial for success in this role. Position would ideally start in February or March. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Household Organization and Cleaning:

    • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in both apartments.
    • Execute daily tasks, including putting items away, managing clutter, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
  2. Errands and Deliveries:

    • Run various errands, including grocery shopping, pharmacy trips, and other necessary tasks.
    • Oversee and receive deliveries for both apartments.
  3. Laundry Management:

    • Facilitate laundry services, including pick up and drop off.
    • Ensure timely and organized handling of clothing and household linens.
  4. Project Management:

    • Assist in managing larger organizational projects, such as new doors, windows, and renovations.
    • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  5. Flexibility and Adaptability:

    • Demonstrate flexibility in handling changing schedules and priorities.
    • Take initiative and proactively identify areas for improvement in household organization and efficiency.
  6. Future Nannying Role:

    • As the family plans to expand, there is potential for the Family Assistant to transition into a role involving childcare and nannying responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably as a nanny or household assistant.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Warm and friendly demeanor, with a genuine enthusiasm for being a part of the family.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills.

Position Compensation

  • Salary: $80k+ depending on experience
  • Living Accommodations: Live Out
