An adult only household is seeking a full-time Housekeeper with basic Household Management knowledge preferred. The residence is located in Sag Harbor, New York. Interior upkeep is very important to the homeowners. With two adults and pets living in the home daily cleaning is always needed. Must love and enjoy the company of pets. Pets include dogs, birds and cats. It is mandatory that you are comfortable with and compassionate when it comes to pet care. Moderate to advanced knowledge of how to care for these types of pets is required. Housekeeper is required to live in on the property while the homeowners away and can return to their respected residences when they are in town.
The homeowners lead a very quiet, private lifestyle. The homeowners like a “yes” person. A person with a positive attitude and the confidence to take on any situation that may arise. They expect the candidate to be calm, quiet and respectful of the homeowners privacy. They expect the candidate to be very punctual with flexibility in their schedule when called upon.
Homeowners appreciate a candidate that truly enjoys their job and takes extreme pride in their work. They must be well organized and excellent at multi-tasking during busy times. Owners work at a fast pace and their household runs at a fast pace as well, the employee would need to adapt to this pace and work accordingly. They should be able to accept sudden schedule changes and adapt accordingly. Candidate should be able to properly and rapidly assess household situations and be a great problem solver. The homeowners need a candidate that will, when necessary, go above and beyond their job description and lend a helping hand. Must be able to email. Should have very good written skills and overall good written and oral communication skills. Candidate must be computer literate, basic skills like Word Processing and Internet knowledge only. Candidate must be a non-smoker, have reliable transportation, a clean driving record and valid drivers license. Healthcare and paid time off is applicable.

• Laundry • Bed Changing • Basic ironing • Bathroom cleaning • General room cleaning • Patio and garage maintenance, sweeping/hosing • Kitchen cleanup • Appliance care and cleaning • Inventorying of basic supplies such as basic groceries, pet supplies, cleaning supplies and basic toiletries. Replenishing when needed. • Pet care. Fresh food and water provided throughout the day. Providing playtime and basic grooming during the day for dogs and cats. • Pet clean-up. • Minor household fixes such as changing lightbulbs. • General home organization • Cleaning and maintaining high-end finishes
Basic Household Assisting
• Supervising any contractors or workers that are actively on the property • Mandatory housesitting/pet sitting when homeowners are traveling • Errand running that includes grocery shopping, pharmacy pick ups and household supply shopping, vehicle is provided for unlimited use • Following up on contractors work during the day and reporting their progress to homeowner • Checking photo identification, current licenses and current insurance of all contractors that work on the property. • Scheduling and accurately maintaining the household schedule • Update owners daily of what work will be performed on the property that day. • Screen emails from household contractors. Forward accordingly. Follow up when necessary. • Responsible of maintaining a safe, secure property during the day. Making sure all doors remain locked and gate is securely closed. Assuring that no unauthorized people are on the property. • Making household maintenance appointments • Keeping household maintenance records • Taking mail to Post Office, preparing and taking packages to UPS/FedEx • Taking pets to appropriate vet appointments • Taking family members to doctor’s appointments • Maintain petty cash and keeping balance household checking account
