A busy family in NY, NY is seeking a nurturing and energetic nanny who has special needs experience to join the family to care for their 13 and 10-year-old boys. The kids go to a special school and the 13-year-old gets off the bus at 5:00 pm.
They must have a passion for childcare, creativity in play, and a warm, patient demeanor with good organizational skills.
Would love someone who can travel with the family once a year when they go on vacation but not a deal breaker.
Responsibilities:
- The older son is Autistic, more on the gentle side, and doesn't talk much, and the 10-year-old has ADHD disorder. Someone calm with experience with special needs.
- Engage with the kids in stimulating activities, playtime, and educational exercises.
- Meal prep, making dinner, healthy simple meals, Dad will teach you to cook meals
- Grocery shopping as needed
- Laundry: Just for the kids
- Driving: Required
- Previous experience working with kids with Autistic personality and ADHD, preferably in a nanny role.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize the needs of multiple children.
- CPR and first aid certification preferred.
- Be attentive to the emotional and developmental needs of both children.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding the children's well-being and any concerns or updates.

Position Requirements
- Work Hours: Monday – Friday 3 pm – 10 pm, (hours are flexible, some nights you can work until 8 pm depending on the Dad's schedule. Someone who could help watch the kids for date night at least once a month.

- Experience: 5 Years of Experience
- References: Minimum of 2 References
- Background: Pass stringent background checks and drug testing upon offer of hire
- Willingness to undergo a background check and provide references.
Position Compensation
- Salary: $30 – $40/hr, with bonuses
- Vacation: 2 weeks
- Living Accommodations: Live Out, option to stay over depending on the night, own room with a bathroom.
