Mature and Highly Experienced Nanny/Family Assistant Needed in La Jolla, CA
A La Jolla family is seeking a mature, highly experienced, and organized Nanny/Family Assistant to join their household. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience, with extensive knowledge in caring for newborns and school-aged children. The family has one 7-year-old boy and plans to expand their family soon. They require a candidate who is comfortable traveling with them for 1-2 weeks at a time, with all travel expenses covered.
Location: La Jolla, CA
Work Schedule:
- Number of hours each week, schedule, and days worked can be flexible for the right candidate.
- Ideal schedule for the client but again FLEXIBLE for the right candidate and experience:
- Approximately 25-30 hours per week, with the potential for 40 hours if traveling.
- Client is flexible on the schedule for the right person. Likely to be primarily after school hours.
- Flexibility required for certain days.
Compensation:
- $30-40 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- School pick-up
- Escorting the child to after-school activities and the playground
- Assisting with groceries and meal preparation
- Performing light housekeeping duties
- Running errands, including dry cleaning drop-offs
- Comfortable being around the family’s golden doodle dog
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience
- Valid Driver's license and vehicle
- Fluent in both Spanish and English is preferred but not required (parents are bilingual and are teaching their son Spanish as well)
- Positive, honest, and respectful, especially with boundaries
- Comfortable holding ground with a highly intelligent and strong-willed child
- Creative mindset is a plus
- Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
- Honest and loyal
- Comfortable around pets, specifically their golden doodle
- Extensive experience with newborns and school-aged children
- Must be very private and confidential
