Job Title: Part-Time Chef
Location: McLean, Virginia
Compensation:
- $65-$85 per hour
- Live-Out position
Schedule:
- Flexible hours, approximately 3-4 hours per day, Monday-Friday
Duration:
- Long-term commitment (most staff members have been with the family for 5+ years)
About the Family:
- Children: 2 teenagers
- Dogs: 3
- Current Staff: Full-time housekeeper
Position Responsibilities:
Cooking:
- Prepare healthy, fresh meals for the family
- Manage the kitchen, ensuring it is stocked with appropriate ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Ideal Candidate:
- Trained in culinary arts with knowledge of healthy meal preparation
- Personable and friendly, especially with teenagers
- Comfortable around dogs
- Self-motivated, professional, with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently without micromanagement
Position Requirements:
- Fluent in English
- Relevant experience as a chef
- Minimum of 2 references
- Pass stringent background checks and drug testing upon offer of hire
- Thoughtful and understands the scope of the job, remaining in the background
