Job Title: Personal Family Assistant – Flexible, Hybrid Role
Location: Washington, D.C. (Remote with weekly in-person meeting)
A busy, dynamic family in Washington, D.C. is seeking a proactive, organized, and flexible Personal Family Assistant to support their household and administrative needs. This is a unique hybrid opportunity to work remotely with occasional in-person meetings, providing flexibility while ensuring the family’s administrative, personal, and household affairs run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and capable of managing various tasks with efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Light bookkeeping, managing household (and potentially business) email correspondence, scheduling appointments, booking travel arrangements, and paying bills.
- Household Management: Oversee and coordinate household help and vendors, assist with household scheduling for both husband and wife, and manage home maintenance or repairs.
- Errands: Running occasional errands such as picking up dry cleaning, supplies or groceries.
- Pet Care: Provide occasional assistance with the family’s two large dogs as needed.
- Organizational Help: Create easy-to-follow systems to keep the household and administrative tasks organized, especially helping the principal manage tasks with ADHD in mind.
- Family Activity Research: Light research to plan family activities or travel, ensuring all details are handled smoothly.

Potential for there to be more time spent in the home if needed, i.e. if a vendor or repair is needed and the candidate needs to be at the home to oversee.

- Comfortable with Dogs: The family has two large dogs, so a love for pets is essential.
- Strong Communicator: The ability to communicate clearly and efficiently, ensuring the family stays on track with household and business affairs.
- Problem-Solver: The principal prefers action over hesitation, so decisiveness is key. It’s okay to make mistakes as long as you take initiative!

Compensation:

Position Requirements
- Work Hours: The principal is flexible and open to setting up hours that work for the candidate they select, depending on their schedule and needs. Will discuss both part-time and full-time options, but with a minimum of 30 hours/week.

- References: Minimum of 2 References

Position Compensation
