Job Title: Temporary High End Housekeeper Needed
Location: New York City (West Village)
Duration: 15 Days, October 9th – 23rd
Hours: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM availability required. Schedule will likely be 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM, but the candidate must be flexible for earlier, later, or longer shifts as needed during these hours.
Compensation: $40-50 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced housekeeper for a temporary 15-day position in New York City's West Village. This is a very formal household, formal and high end experience is required. The role will require close collaboration with the client's additional housekeepers, chef, and nannies, so the ability to work well in a team is essential. The family is visiting from London, and knowledge or experience with Kosher practices is a significant plus.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the executive housekeeper and other household staff to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
- Primary focus on washing, pressing linens, and managing laundry tasks.
- Assist in keeping the household organized and operating smoothly.
- Maintain and follow Kosher household practices, especially in the kitchen.
- Assist in meal service and ensure Kosher dietary restrictions are adhered to.
- Manage daily housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, bedding changes, ironing, and steaming.
- Unpack and repack clients' belongings
- Coordinate with the executive housekeepers to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Exhibit the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain the highest levels of discretion and professionalism in an ultra-high-net-worth household environment.
- Understand and meet the unique needs of the family.
Additional Information:
- The family consists of 2 adults and 2 children, and their residence spans 9,200 sq. ft.
- There is a full staff in place, including 2 nannies, 2 housekeepers, and a chef.
- This is a live-out position.
- There may be opportunities for future contract work.
Position Requirements:
- Availability from 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM with a likely shift from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Flexibility for earlier, later, and longer shifts is required.
- At least 5 years of high end housekeeping experience.
- Must provide a minimum of 2 references.
- Ability to pass a stringent background check and drug test.
- Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently without needing direction.
