We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced nanny to care for their 4-year-old child and to stay with the family for years to come. The nanny will provide personalized care, structure, boundaries while also providing compassion helping their child develop emotionally, socially, and physically in a safe and nurturing environment.
When the family travels, they will be sure to provide written communication regarding what is needed, expected so the nanny and family are aligned. Their son does not like an overbearing personality, but he does like someone that is fun. Boundaries are absolutely necessary and need to be put in place in a gentle manner. The family is looking for an experienced nanny that understands how to engage with a child and provide boundaries while providing a caring and naturing environment. They are looking for a nanny that is appropriate within their household and understand when to insert themselves and when to blend into the background.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Care: Provide full-time care for the child, including feeding, dressing, and hygiene assistance as needed.
- Activities: Plan and engage in fun, engaging and developmentally appropriate activities that stimulate learning.
- Emotional Support: Use positive reinforcement and patience to help manage emotional regulation, including offering comfort and reassurance during overwhelming situations.
- Routine and Structure: Create and maintain a structured daily routine that helps our child feel safe and secure, including scheduled sensory breaks as needed.
- Safety: Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment at all times, with extra attention to sensory triggers such as noise and overwhelming situations
- Meal Preparation: Prepare meals for child
- Transportation: Safely transport the child to and from school and park
- Traveling with family / Mom's Travel Schedule: Flexible with family's work schedule; able to help more when mom is on business trip, ability to travel with the family on vacations, and ability to work over the summer in New York (as a live-in nanny for appx 8 weeks)
Qualifications:
- Experience: They are looking for an experienced nanny, who is a nanny by trade with at least 10 years of experience. We would like a nanny who has worked with young children with a strong preference for candidates with experience in caring for children with have sensory processing challenges.
- Education: A background in early childhood education would be preferred but not required.
- Skills: Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Certifications: CPR
- Attributes: Loving, patient, creative, sense of humor, and willing to adapt care to meet the child’s specific needs and flexible.
Current Needs:
Position: Full-Time Nanny
Location: Delray Beach, FL (spending summers in New York)
Start Date: Flexible as they are looking for the right candidate
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 11:30 AM – 9:00 PM (of course days where Nanny is able to leave at 6). Saturdays are always a plus but not required
Compensation: $25 – $35 per hour dependent on experience
Additional Benefits: 2 weeks to be used for sick and/or vacation, holidays
