Job Title: Full-Time Housekeeper
Location: Manhasset, Long Island
Compensation: $35-$40/hr
Work Hours: 50-55 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Accommodation: Live In or Live Out
Position Overview:
A private family is seeking a full-time, Spanish-speaking Housekeeper to maintain their formal household. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsible. This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys cooking, loves children, and is comfortable assisting the nanny when needed. The housekeeper must be able to manage a busy household, multitask efficiently, and work closely with the mother, following instructions as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Daily cleaning of common areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms (7,000 sq. ft. home)
- Light daily cleaning (deep cleaning is done once a week)
- Rotational cleaning duties to keep tasks manageable
- Ironing and laundry management
- Inventory keeping and organizing household supplies
- Meal preparation and cooking for the family
- Provide assistance to the nanny as needed, especially with the children
- Work closely with the mother, following instructions and adapting to household needs
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy household
Requirements:
- Fluency in Spanish (Families Native language is Spanish)
- Experience in formal households preferred, but long-term full-time housekeeping experience is also acceptable
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Must enjoy cooking and meal preparation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Loves children and is willing to assist with childcare when needed
- Highly organized and able to keep track of household supplies and tasks
- Responsible, hardworking, and committed to a long-term role
- Minimum 2 references
