Job Description: Family Assitant for Elderly Couple
Location: Roslyn, NY
Schedule:
- Days: Monday – Friday
- Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $35–$40/hour (paid through payroll).
- Paid Time Off: 2 weeks of PTO and 6 major holidays off.
- Health Insurance: Available after 90 days of employment.
A loving and responsible family in Roslyn, NY, is seeking a compassionate and reliable person to assist their elderly parents, aged 86 and 82. This role involves providing daily support, maintaining the household, and ensuring their well-being.
Responsibilities:

Driving & Transportation:
- Drive the mother to appointments, errands, and other engagements during the day while the father is at work.
- Ensure safe and reliable transportation using the provided vehicle.

Household Assistance:
- Perform light housekeeping tasks.
- Grocery shopping and running errands.
- Prepare light meals as needed.

Schedule Coordination:
- Manage the family calendar, coordinate appointments, and assist with scheduling.

Travel Assistance:
- Accompany the couple on occasional weekend trips to upstate New York.

Pet Care (Future):
- Be comfortable with dogs, as the family is considering getting one.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel for occasional weekend trips.
- Experience working with elderly clients preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and appointments.
- Ability to perform light household duties and cook simple meals.
- Comfort around dogs and willingness to help care for one if the family decides to get one.
