A warm and lovely family of 4 (two adults and 2 boys ages 6 and 8) in Harrison, NY is looking to hire a Live-out Housekeeper who is kid-friendly and drives.
The main responsibilities include full-housekeeping of the 8,000 square foot home, family laundry and helping with school pickups and driving the boys to after-school activities when needed. A car will be provided for you to use when picking up the children or running errands. There is no cooking except for sometimes chopping veggies for mom before she gets home (mom and dad cook for the family). Being flexible with the work schedule is a key component and ability to stay past dinner time to help clean up. The desired hours at 10:30am – 6:30pm. If you have your own family and need to be home for dinner time, this would not be the job for you.
Job Responsibilities:
*Day-to-Day Housekeeping: Keep our home tidy and organized with tasks like cleaning, making beds/ changing sheets/ towels, laundry, and general upkeep.
*Deep Cleaning: Dedicate time weekly/ every other week as appropriate for a thorough clean of the house
*Driving & Kids Help: We have two boys who’ll need school pickups and occasional rides to activities. When you’re not helping with them, you’ll focus on household tasks. Mom is very involved with them and pick them up a lot, but when she is busy with work, she will need help with pickups. On average probably 2x week, but on a busy week could be as many as 4x week. Often the boys have competing activities so mom will need someone to drive one around while she is with the other, or do be home with one while she is driving another around. They have a car available for use.
*Pet care: The family has an older mini golden doodle that just needs to be let out back during the day. Very minimal care.
The family is looking for someone with a great attitude– positive, flexible, and ready to pitch in wherever needed. Someone who is a self-starter–will see areas of the house that may need special attention and will do without mom having to ask them. You take pride in their work and be very kind and good with children. Excellent driving record. Must be a fluent English speaker
